MSU basketball team signs four
The Minot State University men's basketball team announced the signings of four players for the 2012-13 season on Thursday.
The players include Isiah Gandy, EJ Williams, Dominique McDonald and Laza Boskovic.
"They have played against high level competition and will add depth and experience to our team," MSU coach Matt Murken said in a press release. "They will fit well with the hard-working group of student-athletes we have in our program and will have an opportunity to compete for playing time immediately."
Boskovic, a 6-foot-9 junior forward from Belgrade, Serbia, will have to sit his first season because of eligibility rules.
Gandy, a 6-foot-2 guard from West Palm Beach, Fla., transfers from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with two seasons of eligibility. His production was limited last season, but he was a two-time, first-team all-state player in Florida.
Williams, a 6-foot-2 guard from Raleigh, N.C., transfers from Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, N.C. He has two years of eligibility and averaged 8.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists last season.
McDonald, a 6-foot-1 guard from Raleigh, will be a freshman after completing his final year of high school at Body of Christ Prep.
