FARGO (AP) - The North Dakota Army National Guard plans to beef up its aviation presence in the eastern part of the state.
The Guard says it will base a Black Hawk helicopter in Fargo, and rotate Lakota and Kiowa helicopters between Fargo and Bismarck.
Army National Guard aircraft have flown solely out of Bismarck since 1958. The Guard says also flying out of Fargo will help it better respond to natural disasters and search-and-rescue missions in eastern North Dakota.
