Michael D. "Mike" Trudeau, 62, Minot, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, in a Minot hospital.
Mike was born Nov. 29, 1949, in North Dakota, the son of Duanne and Lillian (Timmerman) Trudeau. He traveled with his family while his dad was employed with the railroad. Mike graduated from the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks, where he received a bachelor's degree in education.
Mike began his teaching career in Minot and later worked for the Parshall School System as a principal. After retiring, he had most recently been working as a substitute teacher in the Minot school system.
Mike loved music and had spent many years singing with the Minot Chamber Chorale. He loved gardening and spending his summers on Parshall Bay. He enjoyed making his own wine and woodworking.
His loving family includes: mother, Lillian Trudeau, of Bath, N.Y.; sisters, Debbie (Jacob) Clark, of Bath, Margie (Phil) Slingsby, Mankato, Minn.; and brother, Brad (Denise) Trudeau, of Medford, Ore.
Mike was preceded in death by his father.
Graveside service: Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at 1 p.m., in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 3 to 5:30 p.m., in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: Are preferred to the Minot Chamber Chorale.
