‘Bigfoot’ comes to town

World famous monster truck returns to Minot AFB

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE "Bigfoot," the world famous monster truck, is returning to Minot Air Force Base.

The truck will be at the base Friday, Aug. 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. The event is open to those who have base access.

Sponsored by Tires Plus Total Car Care, owned by Jarid Lundeen, the event is being done to show appreciation to Air Force personnel and their families stationed at the base.

Bigfoot also visited Minot AFB in May 2011 as part of the grand opening celebration of the new Tires Plus store.

A free Bigfoot performance is scheduled for 5 p.m. next to the base Tires Plus store. Parking will be available at Prairie Federal Credit Union.

The Aug. 24 event will include a jumping castle, free food and more than $2,000 in prizes. The first 250 children to arrive will receive a free mini Bigfoot truck.

Bigfoot's driver will be signing autographs before the event.
