MOHALL - Christian Drangsholt, 86, Mohall, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at the Good Samaritan, Mohall.
Chris was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Arnegard, to Thorlief and Kristine (Justnes) Drangsholt. He was raised in Arnegard until 1937, when the family moved to a farm near Antler in Wheaton Township, Bottineau County. He was confirmed at the Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, rural Antler. He attended the Anderson School and graduated from Antler High School in 1947.
Chris farmed with his brothers, Erling and Thomas, for many years. Due to health reasons, Chris moved to the Good Samaritan in Mohall in 1979. As a resident, he volunteered many hours in the laundry department, planting flowers outside, delivering church bulletins, shopping and running errands for other residents. Chris walked many, many miles every day; only heavy rain or blizzards stopped him from going out. He also enjoyed reading the newspaper cover-to-cover and listening to music for hours.
Chris was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall.
