On a recent visit to Minot I was propositioned twice. I work in western North Dakota and would expect to be propositioned in this area, but I thought a simple shopping trip to Minot would not be so eventful.
I stopped at the post office and a young lady approached me and told me that she had not eaten in several days. I suggested that she apply for a job at any of the businesses along Broadway that has a help wanted sign posted in its windows. Most of the fast food places offer meals to their employees. At that point she offered me a good time and the use of her body for a price. I turned her down and went to Walmart and continued my shopping trip. Yes, at Walmart I was again approached in the housewares department and was offered a sex act for $50. I said no thanks, finished my shopping trip and went back to western North Dakota.
I have to wonder if the city police department is aware of what is happening to the city of Minot. Is the city council only worried about tax dollars and building another motel and does not see what is happening to there community? Minot better wake up and deal with the darker side of human nature or drugs, prostitution, and other crime will rule.
