She was born Aug. 28, 1949, to Donald and Harriet Bower, in Surat, India. She married Trevor Oakland in 1994.
Her husband survives.

Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Fairview.
Visitation: Today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday, 9 a.m. until the service, in the funeral home.
