Aaron M. Zurcher, 38, Minot, formerly of Towner, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, in a Minneapolis hospital.
Aaron Matthew Zurcher was born March 8, 1974, a son of Frederick and Rita (Drader) Zurcher, in Minot. He was raised near Denbigh and educated in Towner. He furthered his education by attending Lake Region College in Devils Lake.
Aaron worked for I.F. La Fleur and Son, and formerly at The Minot Daily News.
Aaron enjoyed darts, golfing, spending time with friends and family, video games with his sons, time with his children and Star Wars.
He is survived by: His best friend and soul mate, Wendy Quakenbush, of Minot; sons, Corey Berg, Towner, Cole Zurcher and Gavin Zurcher, both Minot; daughters, Michelle Drader, Rugby, Kennedie Zurcher and Zoe Zurcher, both Minot; granddaughter, Lizzie Drader, Rugby; parents, Fred and Rita Zurcher, Minot; brothers, Hans Zurcher and Adam Zurcher, both Minot, Joshua (Jan) Zurcher, Grand Forks; sister, Rachel (Chris) Brunner, Hebron; nephews, Keagen Christenson, Kieran and Oliver Brunner, all of Hebron; nieces: Akira Johnson and Addyson Zurcher, both Grand Forks, Keleigh and Vendela Brunner, Hebron; brother in heart, Scott (Cam) Jacobson, Grand Forks.
Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Christian and Evelyn Zurcher, and Melvin and June Drader; and many uncles and aunts.
Memorial Service: Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, 1 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Towner.
Visitation: Friday, Aug. 17, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Minot Knights of Columbus Clubroom, located at 2601 N. Broadway, Minot.
