The first day of school for the Minot Public Schools will be Aug. 22.
Students who will be attending the Minot Public Schools for the first time this fall and who have not yet registered are asked to go to the Board of Education office at 215-2nd St. SE. Enrollments will be accepted from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Parents must bring a birth certificate and immunization record for each child they are enrolling. They will also need to bring a proof of residence such as a home mortgage statement, lease agreement, property tax statement, or current utility bill from their address. They will also need to bring photo identification of themselves.
Students enrolling in first grade must be 6 years old prior to midnight Aug. 1 to enroll. Students enrolling in kindergarten must be 5 years old prior to midnight on Aug. 1 to enroll. If their child was enrolled in a school within Minot last year, but the family has moved to another area, they will need to enroll the child in a school in the district where they now live.
School time for elementaries in Minot will be from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. School times for Dakota Elementary at Minot Air Force Base will be 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. School times for North Plains Elementary at Minot Air Force Base will be 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. School times for Bell Elementary will be from 8:05 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
School times for Erik Ramstad Middle School will be from 8:51 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.; school times for Jim Hill Middle School will be 8:51 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.; school times for Memorial Middle School at Minot Air Force Base will be from 7:40 a.m. to 2:05 p.m.
School times for Minot High School-Magic City Campus will be from 8:05 a.m. to 3 p.m.
School times for Minot High School-Central Campus will be from 8:05 a.m. to 2:52 p.m.
Student IDs for students in grades 9 to 12 cost $3 apiece. School lunches are available for all students enrolled in grades K-12. Lunch prices are as follows: $1.80 per lunch at the elementary level; $2.05 per lunch at the middle school level; $2.05 per lunch at the high school level. School breakfast is $1.25 per breakfast.
Activity tickets are available at the schools and will admit students to all Minot High School home athletic events. The price of the ticket for grades 1-12 is $30.
The participation fee for athletic teams is $50 per athletic activity with a maximum of $125 at the high school level. The cost of participation for speech and debate at the high school level is $50 apiece. The cost of participation for middle school athletic teams is $25 per athletic activity with a maximum of $62.50.
Instrument rental at the elementary, middle and high school level is $10 for bells, $40 for percussion and $75 for all other instruments.
