Sharon Badke-McFarlen, 57, Minot, formerly of Rugby, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, in a Minot nursing home.
Sharon Marie Badke was born on Aug. 11, 1954, a daughter of Del and Betty (Kahle) Badke in St. Paul, Minn. She was raised and educated in Harvey, attending Harvey High School.
Sharon attended Josef's School of Hair Design, where she received a degree in cosmetology.
Sharon was once married to Darrell Sabbe. From this union two children were born, Darrell Jr. and Jason. She later married Roy McFarlen, they lived in Minot.
Sharon is survived by: son, Jason (Misty) Sabbe, Des Moines, Iowa; grandson, Ian Sabbe; mother, Betty Badke, of Harvey; brothers, Chuck (Terrie) Badke, Surrey, and Fred (Resha) Badke, Sterlington, La.; two nephews, Justin (Celeste) Badke and Chad (Jessica) Badke; and one niece, Cassondra Badke. Numerous aunts, uncles and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Jr.; father, Del; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Badke, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kahle.
Memorial service: Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Harvey.
Burial: A private family burial will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, friends may sign a guest book one hour prior to the service at the church.
