FORT TOTTEN - Walter Cavanaugh, 64, Devils Lake, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, in a Devils Lake nursing home.
He was born Jan. 27, 1948, to Lillian Redday and Thomas Cavanaugh.
Survivors: wife of 33 years, Sally Cavanaugh; sons, Travis Littleghost and Walter Cavanaugh; daughters, Charlene Cavanaugh and Melissa TwoHearts; stepson whom he helped raise, Roger Alberts; numerous grandchildren; sister, Lillian DeMarce.
Funeral: Monday, 10 a.m., Fort Totten Recreation Center, Fort Totten.
Burial: Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Fort Totten.
Wake: Sunday, 5 p.m., in the recreation center.
Family wake: Today, 1 p.m., in his home in Fort Totten.
