WSC finishes first softball recruiting class

WILLISTON - The Williston State College softball team completed its first recruiting class this week with the signing of Helena, Mont., native Anna Morgan.

Morgan, a four-year starter at Helena Capital High School, finished with a .468 career batting average and a .945 fielding percentage. Morgan helped her team to one AA state title and two Western Conference championships. She was a two-time, first-team all-state selection and a Super State selection at third base as a senior.

"We are extremely fortunate to sign Anna this late in the summer," coach Eric Peterson said in a press release. "We had one scholarship left and I didn't want to give it out unless we found the right fit. We needed another huge bat and Anna is exactly what we were looking for."

The Tetons have signed 18 players including recent Bishop Ryan High School graduate Hannah Kramer.
