Center fielder Brady Thielges and catcher Tyler Thielges each drove in two runs for LaMoure.

Grafton 6, Wahpeton 4

Section 4 champion Grafton defeated Wahpeton 6-4 to remain unbeaten.

Wahpeton didn't allow a run in its first 15 innings of the tournament. That changed when Grafton scratech across a run in the second inning. Two innings later, it scored three more to erase a 3-1 deficit.

Wahpeton's Cole Gilles went 2-for-2 and hit a pair of doubles.

Wahpeton 11, LaMoure 7

Wahpeton rebounded from its loss to Grafton with an 11-7 extra-innings win against LaMoure that kept Wahpeton's championship hopes alive entering today's final.

Jeremy Bontjes pitched 4 2-3 innings of perfect relief, striking out eight LaMoure hitters along the way.

Wahpeton will play Grafton at 2 p.m. and must beat them twice to win the Class B championship.

Grafton 12, Washburn 2

Grafton's offense struck early in a 12-2 win against Washburn, carrying the American Legion team into today's state championship.

Grafton scored six runs in the first inning and three more in the third to build a 9-0 lead that Washburn (31-6) never recovered from. With the loss, Washburn has been eliminated from the state tournament.
