Margie V. Campbell, 90, Kenmare, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at the Mohall Good Samaritan Center in Mohall.

Margie Verna Jensen was born on Aug. 27, 1921, a daughter of Fred and Caroline (Carlson) Jensen, in Valley City. She was raised and educated in Norma. At the age of 17, Margie moved to Washington state, where she worked as a house keeper and cook.

On May 23, 1942, she was united in marriage to Ralph Lee Campbell in Spokane, Wash. Ralph worked in construction; therefore the family traveled extensively and lived in several West Coast locations. Ralph died Dec. 13, 1980.

Margie was an immaculate homemaker. She was also a wonderful mother, having given birth to two sets of twins, Ronald and Donald and Pamela and Debra. She was a homemaker until the late 1960s, when she started a career in retail sales for JC Penney Co. She retired from the JC Penney store in Kalamath Falls, Ore. In 1994, she moved to Kenmare to be closer to relatives.

She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Margie is survived by: Children, Marlowe Campbell, of Morton, Wash., Don (Judy) Campbell, of Sherman, Texas, Pam (Steve) Ward, Inyokern, Calif., Ron (Phyllis) Campbell, Kenmare; 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn (Bud) Alexander, Tolley, Anna Mae (Robert) Laumb, Tolley; one brother, Marlowe Jensen, Creston, Calif. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; daughters, Judy and Deb; and one brother, Henry.

Memorial service: Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Kenmare Church of the Nazarene, Kenmare.

Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Kenmare.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal; however, friends may sign a guest book on Tuesday, one hour prior to service, at the church.

Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare, is handling arrangements.
