Bonnie Kay Beeter, 54, Minot, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Bonnie was born May 12, 1958, in Minot, the daughter of Richard and LaVonne (Hayden) Whorley. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1976. Following high school graduation, Bonnie was employed with Reub's Camera in downtown Minot for several years.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Bernard "Bernie" Beeter on June 8, 1979, in Minot. Together, they made their home in Minot, where they raised their family. In 1987, she began operating Bonnie's Daycare, where she became a mother figure to many children in the Minot area. She retired in 2008.

Bonnie had a passion for photography and enjoyed cheering on her sons and capturing their racing careers through photos. She was a friend to many at the Nodak Speedway of Minot, as well as the racing community throughout North Dakota. Her other hobbies included scrapbooking, puzzles and spending time with her three grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by: her loving husband of 33 years, Bernie; sons, Brandon (Jenny) Beeter and Brock (Jenny Lock) Beeter, both of Minot; grandchildren, Peyton, Maxwell and Brody Beeter; parents, Richard and LaVonne Whorley, Minot; brother, Brian Whorley, Denver; and sister, Gail (Dale) Filipek, Minot.

Bonnie was preceded in death by an infant sister; her grandparents, Dan and Maybel Hayden and Oscar and Viola Whorley.

Funeral service: Thursday, Aug. 2, 10:30 a.m., in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Vigil Prayer service: Today, Wednesday, 7 p.m., in the church.

Visitation: Today, Wednesday, from 1 to 4 p.m., in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot, and today from 5 to 7 p.m. in the church.

Memorials are preferred to Trinity Hospice of Minot.
