Construction workers with Bechthold Paving pave a section of the 55th Street Northeast Bypass Wednesday. Work started on the 2-1/2 mile stretch of 55th Street, north from Ward County Road 12, this week. Crews are laying down two separate 2-1/2- inch thick lifts of asphalt to form the paved road. The road is being laid down in two, 14-foot lanes. The City of Minot, Ward County and the Department of Transportation are partners in the project.
