The Minot Salvation Army is accepting applications for back-to-school supplies now through Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. People should complete an application at The Salvation Army Church, 315 Western Ave. They should bring along identification for each child and proof of residence, along with income verification, when applying.
A school supply-backpack distribution and picnic is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 14 at First Presbyterian Church. The Salvation Army and the Sunrise Rotary Club in Minot are sponsoring this project. Call Michelle Bussard at The Salvation Army at 838-8925 for more information.
People who are interested in donating school supplies should drop them off before or after Aug. 9 at the Salvation Army church There will be a Fill the Bus drive for school supplies at the Town and Country Credit Union from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 9.
