Dollie Mae Sevland, 85, Minot, died Friday, July 27, 2012, in her home.
Dollie Mae was born Jan. 26, 1927, the daughter of Wolford W. and Edith V. (Beare) Wagar, in Bantry, Wagar Township, in McHenry County. Dollie married Claus Sevland on Nov. 4, 1950, in Fairview, Mont. They lived at the Sevland homestead near Granville for over 40 years, where Dollie was an active farm wife. After retiring from farming and ranching, Dollie and Claus moved to rural Minot.
Dollie Mae cherished her family deeply and always enjoyed her visits with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to listen to Lawrence Welk music and enjoyed her flowers and gardening with the love of her life for 61 years.
Dollie Mae is survived by: her husband, Claus Sevland, Minot; sons, Lewey Sevland, Minot, Willy Sevland, Granville; daughter, Lois Sevland Frey, Minot; brother, Orville (Dorothy) Wagar, Minot; sister, Audrey Hanson, Minot; brother-in-law, Alfred Isakson, Upham; grandchildren, Jeanie (Jerry) Steen, Jon (Heather) Sevland, Jerry (Chasity) Sevland, Jeffrey Sevland, Jacob Sevland-Voight, Jackie Sevland-Voight, James Voight, Dustin Frey and Lynsey Frey; great-grandchildren, Jasper Steen, Taylor and Hunter Sevland, Dazey, Hennie, Rovina, Freya and Viola Sevland; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Dollie Mae was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Mildred Rasch and Viola Isakson; brothers-in-law, Art Rasch and Gay Hanson; niece, Donyta Rasch-Barker; and aunts and uncles.
Funeral: Private Funeral
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 31, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
There will also be a memorial gathering at the Granville Community Memorial Center starting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31.
Memorials: Are preferred to the American Cancer Society and to Trinity Hospice, Minot.
