Rodney Olson, 78, Tioga, died Friday, July 20, 2012, in a Bismarck hospital.
He was born Feb. 19, 1934, to Leonard and Inez Olson, near Aurelia. He served in the Army from 1954 to 1956. He married Irene Christensen on Jan. 11, 1959, in Kenmare.
Survivors: wife; son, Leif, Mandan; one granddaughter; sister, Joy Parkinson, Helena, Mont.; brothers, Leonard and Rolland, both Minot, Gerald, Mandan, Dale, of Denver, and Delton, San Jose, Calif.

Memorial service: Friday, 2 p.m., First Lutheran Church, Tioga.
Burial: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, south of Mandan.
Visitation: Wednesday, two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
