Minot police officers responded early Friday to a report of a domestic assault.
Officers spoke with both parties involved and observed an injury to a 24-year-old female of Bismarck.
Austin Decoteau, 30, also of Bismarck, was arrested and charged with simple assault-domestic violence, a Class B misdemeanor, and taken to the Ward County Jail.
The incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. at a North Broadway address.
