Work continues Wednesday evening on the demolition of Erik Ramstad Middle School. The building was destroyed in last summer’s flood. Minot veterans accepted an American flag on Wednesday that used to hang in the gymnasium at Erik Ramstad Middle School, which is being demolished. Kraus-Anderson employees took down the flag. Demolition project Supt. Dave Doty, a veteran; Jim Bergman, labor coordinator and father of a son currently serving in the military, carried the flag off the work site and folded it. Minot alderman Bob Miller, also a military veteran, helped to fold the flag. The flag was then presented to Brian Hook of Kraus Anderson, the liaison to the new Minot Public School District. The flag will be given to Minot Public Schools superintendent Mark Vollmer. Miller would like to see the flag on display at the new Erik Ramstad Middle School along with pictures of the old school. Also present from Kraus Anderson was Jason Anderson.
