TURTLE LAKE - Violet Fiedler, 89, Bismarck, formerly of Mercer and Turtle Lake, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, in her residence.
She was born May 2, 1923, to Emannuel and Dorthea Fuerst, in Kaylor, S.D. She married John Rust on Oct. 15, 1943. He died in 1990.
She married Herbert Fiedler in September 1991.
Survivors: daughters, Sharon Sellon, Coleharbor, Sandy Birst, Washburn; son, John El Rust, Mercer; stepsons, Wesley Fiedler, Butte, Jerry Fiedler, Bismarck; stepdaughter, Patty Thacker, Ohio; 31 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Fuerst, Parkston, S.D., Delores Sample, Mandan; brother, Ervin, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Funeral: Thursday, 3 p.m., Turtle Lake Baptist Church, Turtle Lake.
Graveside service: Following the funeral in Mercer Hillside Cemetery, Mercer.
Visitation: Today, 7 to 9 p.m., in Goetz Funeral Home, Turtle Lake.
