Dewaine Dickey, 84, Minot, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, in a Minot nursing home.
Dewaine was born May 6, 1928, at Minot, the son of Frank and Clara (Northhouse) Dickey. He was raised on a farm near Max and educated at schools near there. Dewaine moved to Minot and was employed by Gimbles Cafe, the GreenThumb work program and the Great Northern Railway throughout the years.
Dewaine enjoyed walking with his twin brother, Dorman, throughout Minot, along with playing a game of pool and bowling at North Hill Bowl.
He is survived by: his sister, Dori Bachmeier, Flushing, Mich.; brother, Glenn Dickey, Minot; and Dewaine's companion, Julie Lamphear, Minot; along with a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service: Thursday, July 19, 2012, 11:30 a.m., in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Today, noon to 5 p.m., in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
