Why do the citizens of United States have such a low opinion of Congress? Maybe I can give a clue to this mystery.
A recent report was released stating in exact language Countrywide "purchased" influence by giving preferential (lower than market rates) interest rates to people in power positions.
This "purchasees" crossed party lines. R's and D's are named in this report. Now, the question is are these people, inside Countrywide and those receiving the benefits and so identified, going to be prosecuted?
As Representative Nancy Pelosi said: Drain the swamp. Prosecute the bribers and the bribees.
