WATFORD CITY Delbert Schafer, 82, Watford City, formerly of Bismarck and Mott, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, in a Bismarck nursing home.
He was born April 14, 1930, to Rose and Gerhart Schafer, in Java, S.D. He married Delores "De" Sauer on Sept. 17, 1951, in Mott. He served in the Army was stationed in Korea from October 1951 through April 1953 during the Korean War.
Survivors: daughters, Denae Hoffmann, Watford City, Dawn Schock, Bismarck, Tracy Yoder, Uniontown, Ohio; several grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
