Chris Greig wants people to know about the positive things that Hope Village is doing in the flooded Souris River Valley.
The Toronto-area cyclist stopped on his way from Alaska to Florida to film a short clip on Hope Village for his website at (www.campaignforgoodnews.org.) The decision to share the good things happening across Canada and the United States while biking the countries was born out of his natural optimism.
"The news is often very negative," Greig said. "There's a lot of good people out there so why don't I try to showcase some of that."
Cyclist Chris Greig with his handmade bicycle stopped at Hope Village Monday on his travels from Alaska to Florida to share stories of good news.
His stories have included the annual Summer Solstice baseball game in Fairbanks, Alaska, and Lloydminster, a town on the Alberta and Saskatchewan border.
He plans to have 31 stories of good news posted by the time he completes his journey, which will take at least another two weeks. He's cycled 2,268 miles in 18 days, accepting rides when conditions aren't suitable for bike travel.
Staying only briefly in Minot Monday, his next stop was Edgeley.
