Martin Boser, 61, Minot, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the North Dakota Veterans Admininistration Hospital in Fargo.
Martin Nicholas Boser was born July 24, 1950, the son of Anton and Elizabeth (Zacher) Boser, in Harvey. He was raised in Balta and educated in Esmond.
Martin was drafted into the United States Army on Nov. 24, 1970. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged Aug. 28, 1972.

Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he made his home in Minot. He began his career with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in 1974 and worked there until ill health forced him to retire in 2006.
He was a former member of the Minot Shriner's Club.
He enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and tinkering. He was the jack of all trades. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving family includes: daughter, Nicole Boser (Leonard Smith), Atlanta, Ga.; son, Travis Boser, Minot; grandchildren, Jayci, Ynes and Evelyn Smith; brothers, Vernon Boser, Hager City, Wis., Arlen (Jill) Boser, Minot, Marvin (Deborah) Boser, West Fargo, Ernest (Joann) Boser, Karlsruhe, David (Lynn) Boser, Redwing, Minn., and Todd Boser, Fargo; sisters, Twylah (Ray) Volk, Shakopee, Minn., and Bernetta Vinje, Hazelton; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral: Tuesday, July 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Tuesday at 3 p.m. at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, south of Mandan.
Visitation: Today, Monday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
