ORLANDO, Fla. - The Minot High School wrestling team won four of five team duals Friday and Saturday at the AAU Scholastic Duals at Disney World. Minot's team consists of returning members and recent graduate and Minot State University signee David Rabe.
After going 3-1 against teams from Florida, Georgia and Indiana on Friday, MHS defeated Team Montana Sidney 52-30 Saturday.
"I think it's a great step for our progam and a great step for our kids," MHS assistant coach Justin Racine said. "They're getting confident and they feel they can compete with these bigger states and these bigger teams."
Gabe Nehlsen, Cody Haugen and Rabe remain unbeaten for the event, while Nick Nesdahl has lost just once.
MHS concludes pool play at 8 a.m. this morning against Oak Harbor (Ohio).
