North Dakota truck traffic

July 1, 2012

The recent pipeline summit Gov. Jack Dalrymple hosted was a good opportunity to reinforce the fact that truck traffic is an issue in North Dakota.

Our roads weren't built for the heavy loads they're carrying now so it is important that action is taken. We need safe roads for our communities, but we also need infrastructure that supports our economy.

I think pipelines are a smart option to remove truck traffic and to minimize the impacts we see from the energy industry. Some may argue that pipelines aren't perfect, but nothing is. The point remains that they are the safest, best option for our communities and for the energy industry itself.
