GRAND FORKS - The Minot Metros were swept in a pair of games at Grand Forks on Wednesday afternoon.
Grand Forks took the first game 7-2 thanks to five runs scored in the fourth and fifth innings. Minot (6-7) gave up eight runs in the first two innings of a 12-2 loss in the second game.
"We just weren't focused today," Metros coach Travis Smith said. "Grand Forks came out and they were ready to play. They hit the ball really well against us tonight and we just didn't compete."
Austin Eggl and Brady Lampert each had two hits in the second game.
