Donald Edward Couchigian, 81, of Panama City, Fla., passed away June 22, 2012, in his home.
He was born Oct. 27, 1930, in Douglas. He retired from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel. He then served as a captain for fishing and marine boats for a number of years. He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Panama City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Agnes Couchigian; and a daughter, Laura Jane Couchigian.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Jane Raffield Couchigian; daughter, Donna Ann Couchigian; son, Richard Allan Couchigian; daughter-in-law, Cindy Couchigian; four grandchildren, Alicia Burford and husband Bobby, April Goodson and husband, Mark, Amy Couchigian and Abbie Couchigian; four great-grandchildren, Brennan Burford, Anderlyn Burford, Landon Goodson and Colby Goodson; three brothers, William Couchigian and wife, Mavis, Ben Couchigian, Mike Couchigian and wife Doris; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Evon Raffield, Alton and Ima Evans, Betty and Vern Hammond and Charles and Pam Raffield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 10 a.m., in the St. John Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Panama City.
