New Williston State College basketball coach Eric Peterson used his Milwaukee roots to land the signing of Charles Wardell.
Wardell, a 6-foot-1 combo guard from Milwaukee Northwest High School, led his conference in scoring this past season, averaging 20.8 points per game. He was named first-team all-conference and earned an honorable mention all-state spot for his performance.
Peterson, a Milwaukee native, spent seven summers in the city coaching AAU.
"Charles has proven that he is one of the best scorers in the state," Peterson said in a press release. "He will make an immediate impact on and off the floor."
