I agree with the letter written by Clay Rein for the June 3 Minot Daily News.
I had the same thing happen to me. When the traffic light goes to orange the jerk speeds up instead of slowing down. I almost got clobbered where South Broadway and Burdick Expressway meet.
Minot police should have some cops on motorcycles, which can get to those jerks faster. Also the fines should be much higher, like $100 to $150 for stop signals. If you park in a handicapped parking spot, the fine is $100. You don't see too many cars park there without the handicap stickers.
Make the fine high so it hits them in the pocketbook.
People who drive pickups and cars with noisy mufflers should also be fined.
Traffic is completely out of hand now and it will only get worse.
One last thing, a $20 fine for not wearing a seatbelt is a joke.
