Brian Savelkoul, 55, Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Lansford, died May 17, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
Brian was raised in the Lansford area, attended high school in Glenburn and graduated from Jamestown College with a degree in counseling. Brian married Cindy Johnson, daughter of Mel and Hurdis Johnson, of Glenburn. After his service in the Army they made their home in Colorado Springs where he worked as a Christian counselor for Focus on the Family and later operated his own counseling business.
Left behind to cherish his memory are: his wife, Cindy; sons, Joseph (Nao) Joshua and three grandchildren, Asiaiah, Isai and Hanna; mother, Audrey; brothers, Stan (Linda) Bruce, Scot (Myra); sisters, JoAnne (Bob) Kirk and Carolyn (Pete) Pedersen; sister-in-law, Vicki Savelkoul.

Brian was greeted in Heaven by his Lord and Savior, son Benjamin, father Donald, brothers Henry and Kenny, sister-in-law Anna Marie, brother-in-law Mitch, and many other family and friends.
