Heitkamp no friend of mine

June 3, 2012
Minot Daily News

Jeff Fox, Minot

Heidi Heitkamp claims that she is a friend of the "working man," but she is no friend of mine. I work in North Dakota's oil patch and provide a comfortable living for my family. I'm not rich by any means but I work hard every day and I am grateful for all of the incredible opportunities here in North Dakota.

Republican leadership in North Dakota helped the private sector create those opportunities for my family and by enacting common sense policies that stimulate job creation and economic growth. But Democrats in Washington, D.C., want to take those opportunities away and if North Dakotans vote for Heidi Heitkamp, the Democrats and their job-killing agenda will get their way.

Rick Berg understands what it's like to work from the bottom up. After much hard work and determination, Rick Berg created many good jobs here in North Dakota when he started his own company.

Heidi Heitkamp's support for President Obama's second term tells me that she is willing to put my job and the jobs of my fellow workers at risk by supporting his administration's EPA for another four years.

Rick Berg looks out for my family and our jobs in North Dakota. He has earned my vote as congressman and he'll get my vote for the U.S. Senate. I hope he can earn yours, too.
