Donate the FEMA?trailers

Marge Neuhalfen, Minot

With the devastation of the flood on our elderly and the people renting and working, they were pretty much left homeless after the flood. With the high cost of rentals many of these people cannot afford the rentals that are available. I think it would be a great idea to give some of the FEMA trailers to these people.

The elderly, many cannot afford to rebuild. It is like their life has been taken away. By giving them the option of a FEMA trailer it could give them back a sense of security.

The working people who don't make enough to pay the high rents, I think, would greatly appreciate that option also. We need these people for the minimum paying jobs. I'm sure many would take pride in taking care of their home and also give them a sense of security.

It would be an act of mercy by our government and its agencys to allow the trailer homes in Minot and the surrounding flooded communities to remain a home for our flood victims until such time that they can afford the inflated prices of materials and labor to once again return to their original homes.
