Children from the Western Plains Children’s Choir are pictured during a rehearsal for their performance of selections from “Oliver.” At center rear, Christian Gifford, portraying Oliver, receives a good, old-fashioned “noogie' from Artful Dodger Cord Redding. The rest of the children are Fagan’s gang who sing “You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two” in the production on Sunday.

At the event, third- and fourth-graders from area schools who form the Western Plains Junior Choir will perform musical selections from "The Sound of Music," aided by MSU students Paige Olson and Tim Olson.

The Western Plains Children's Choir, consisting of area fifth-, sixth- and seventh-graders, will perform selections from "Oliver," aided by MSU's Jonathan Clark.

Eighth- through 10th-graders from the Western Plains Youth Ensemble will showcase a medley from "Suessical," as well as selections from various other Broadway shows.

This is the final concert of the year for the children's choirs, which are directed by Rebecca Petrik and Laurel Livingston.
