Merlin W. Martin, 70, Heaton, died Friday, April 20, 2012, at a Bismarck hospital.
He was born Aug. 22, 1941, to John and Laura Martin in Cathay. He was once married to Sandy White. He married Regina Freeh on June 11, 1976, in Harvey. She died Aug. 19, 1993. He married Barbara Krause on March 16, 2001, in Carrington.
Survivors: wife; stepsons, Richard Freeh, Jamestown, Randy Freeh, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Tim Krause, Bismarck; stepdaughter, Lisa House, Carrington; 12 grandchildren; brothers, William and Fred, both Lisbon, Orville, Cantonement, Fla.; sisters, Ardella Ockert and Linda Anderson, both of New Rockford, Helen Wolff, Mandan, Beverly Hafner, Sykeston.
Funeral: Wednesday, 11 a.m., Bowdon Lutheran Church, Bowdon.
Burial: Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey.
Visitation: Tuesday, 3 to 6 p.m., at Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden.
