RUGBY - Dorothy Blessum, 84, Rugby, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, in a Rugby nursing home.
She was born July 28, 1927, to Edwin and Olga Thingvold, near Barton. She married Stanley Carlile in December 1950 in Rolette. He died in September 1958. She married Herman Blessum in March 1968 in Rugby.
Survivors: son, Gregory Carlile, Clifton Park, N.Y.; daughters, Gwen DeMontigny, Washburn, and Genelle Christopherson, Iowa City, Iowa; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores Johnson, Mary Juergens, Carol Torgerson and Norma Klebbe; brothers, Alton, Gordon, James and Dennis.
Funeral: Wednesday, 11 a.m., Bethany Lutheran Church, Rugby.
Burial: Rolette Community Cemetery.
Visitation: Tuesday, 5 to 7 p.m., Anderson Funeral Home, Rugby.
