On Feb. 18 the National Federation's Gold Cup Festival was held at Minot State University. Some 292 participants performed in several events. The festival was sponsored by the Minot Piano Teachers Club. Winners were named as follows:

Earning a small gold cup for their piano solos in the Lynn Freeman Olson event were: Sylvie Kramer and Carleigh Pedersen, Minot.
In the hymn playing event, earning small cups were: Madison Frueh and Lydia Hoverson, Minot and Hunter Andes, Plaza.
In the pick style guitar solo event, earning a small cup was Jaydin Risovi, Harvey.
Earning medium cups worth 30 or more points in piano solo were: LeAnne VanBerkom, Burlington, Rebecca Birdsell, Harvey, Elsa Condit and Anne Johnson, Kenmare, Shelby Brandvold, Maddock, Kristen Hauf and Tessa Walters, Makoti, Emma Cassim, Hudson Dahly, Jeremy Dockter, Kelsey Dockter, Caleb Hoverson, Peter Mathistad, Ty Nygaard, Wyatt Smith and Michaela Woiwode, Minot and Macy Sundahl, Mohall.
Earning a medium cup in the piano concerto event was Shawn Marshall, Burlington.
A medium cup in piano duet was earned by Jaydin Risovi, Harvey.
And, in the hymn playing event earning medium cups were: Jaydin Risovi, Harvey and Michaela Woiwode, Minot.
Also earning a medium cup in the vocal musical theater event was: Juria Bigelow of Ryder.
Earning large cups worth 45 or more points in the piano solo event were: Elizabeth Nelson, Berthold, Brianna Berg, Bottineau, Bethany Limke, Carpio, Brian Anderson, Harvey, Jessalyn Kleinsasser, Hurdsfield, Juria Bigelow and Amanda Hauf, Makoti, Ashton Cassim, Stephen Gasser and Blaise Stanley, Minot and Hannah Moen, Upham.
Earning Grand Cups worth 60 or more points in piano solo were: Elizabeth Klingbeil and Jacques Stanley, both of Minot.
