BENEFIT BREAKFAST TO BE HELD SUNDAY FOR NUSH A benefit pancake breakfast and silent auction will be held for Jessica Nush, of Minot, on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 700-16th Ave. SW.
Nush is undergoing treatments for breast cancer.
All proceeds will go toward medical and travel expenses.
COMMUNITY CHOIR TO PRESENT CANTATA IN AREA The 2012 Burlington Community Choir will present an Easter cantata, "Because We Believe," in area churches again this year. This is the 26th year the group has presented an Easter cantata in the area.
The members of the choir are from Minot, Burlington, Des Lacs and Berthold; they are of different religions. Jerry Martin has directed the group for the past 12 years and Jacki Haider has been the pianist since performances were started.
Performances will be Sunday at 10:15 a.m. in New Life Lutheran Church, 710-46th Ave. NE, Minot; Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Berthold; March 4 at 9 a.m. in Des Lacs Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in Vincent United Methodist Church, 1024-2nd St. SE, Minot; March 7 at 7 p.m. in Bread of Life Lutheran Church, 1415-17th Ave. SW, Minot; March 11 at 10:30 a.m. in American Lutheran Church, Stanley; March 14 at 7 p.m. in Glenburn Baptist Church; March 18 at 10:30 a.m. in Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington; March 21 at 7 p.m. in Granville Lutheran Church; March 25 at 10:45 a.m. in First Church of the Nazarene, 2600 W. Central Ave., Minot, and at 6:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 200-3rd St. SW, Minot; and March 28 at 7 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, 502-17th St. NW, Minot.

DATES SET FOR 2012 WOMEN'S RETREAT The Women's Ministry of First Baptist Church of Minot will host its 2012 Women's Retreat, "Finding Refuge" April 13, 14 at the Ann Nicole Nelson Hall, Minot State University. The retreat will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The featured speaker will be Liz Curtis Higgs, back by popular demand. Her messages are biblical, encouraging, down-to-earth and humorous.
