KAGAN TO BE INSTALLED AS BISHOP OF BISMARCK DIOCESE The ordination/installation Mass for Bishop-elect Msgr. David Kagan as the seventh bishop of the Diocese of Bismarck will be carried on KFYR-TV (NBC, of Bismarck), Real Presence Radio, KPHA-FM 91.3 and over the Internet accessible at (www.bismarckdiocese.com).

The ceremony will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck.

BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICE TO BE HELD IN STANLEY ?Prairie Lutheran Parish, of Stanley, will host a Blue Christmas Service Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. in American Lutheran Church, of Stanley.

The service, which is open to all denominations, is an opportunity for people who have experienced loss of any kind. During the service people will be reminded of the promises of Christ coming into our world.

People are encouraged to bring an object of remembrance, such as a photo, to display during the service. The item will be returned after the service. People who attend will be allowed to take home a Christmas ornament in honor of their loss.

TIOGA CHURCH SETS DATE FOR ANNUAL CANDLELIGHT CONCERT First Lutheran Church, Tioga, will host its fourth annual Christmas Concert by Candlelight Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in the church.

BENEFIT BREAKFAST TO BE SERVED IN OUR LADY OF GRACE CHURCH Our Lady of Grace Knights of Columbus Council 4894, assisted by parish youth, will serve a breakfast of sausage, scrambled eggs, french toast, pancakes and fruit on Dec. 4 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the lower level of the church at 707-16th Ave. SW.

Proceeds of the freewill offering will benefit Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry.

TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR SINGING CHRISTMAS TREE First Assembly of God will present its 31st annual Singing Christmas Tree in the church, 1805-2nd St. SE, in December. Performances for "A Different Kind of Christmas" will be at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, 3, 7, 9 and 10 and at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 11.

There will be no admission charge but tickets, which available at the church office or by calling 838-1111, are required. A freewill offering will be received.

Child care will be available.

BETHANY LUTHERAN SETS DATE FOR LUTEFISK, MEATBALL DINNER A lutefisk and meatball dinner will be served Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church, 215-3rd Ave. SE.

Tickets will be $15 for adults and $7 for children ages 12 and under.

A holiday bake sale will be held in conjunction with the dinner.

DATE SET FOR ANNUAL SARON LUTHERAN CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON The annual Saron Lutheran Church Christmas luncheon will be Dec. 3, starting at 12:30 p.m., in the church southwest of Minot.

The event will include entertainment by the Prairie Gospel Quartet, door prizes and the singing of Christmas carols.

Ladies should bring a dish to share for the luncheon.

A freewill offering will be received.
