The Western Plains Children's Choir are seeking new members who love to sing. The group has openings in each of its established choirs: Western Plains Junior Choir for third-, fourth- and fifth-graders, directed by Rebecca Petrik; Western Plains Children's Choir for fifth-, sixth- and seventh-graders, directed by Petrik, and Western Plains Youth Ensemble for eighth-, ninth- and 10th-graders, directed by Laurel Livingston.
All choirs rehearse in Old Main at Minot State University, Room 121 WPJC on Monday evenings 4:45 to 5:50 p.m., WPCC on Monday nights 6:30 to 8 p.m., and WPYE on Sunday evenings 6 to 8 p.m.
Auditions for the 2011-12 season will be held Sept. 12-13 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Old Main, Room 120 at MSU. Aspiring singers in grades three through 10 are invited to audition. To arrange an audition time, call Petrik at 426-2039 or 858-3837, or send e-mail to rebecca.petrik@minotstateu.edu.
