Four area airports to get nearly $2M in FAA funds
Airports in Bottineau, Harvey, Mohall and Stanley will be receiving federal grants for construction and maintenance.
The airports and the Federal Aviation Administration grant amounts are as follows:
- Bottineau Municipal Airport, $369,406.
- Harvey Municipal Airport, $224,400.

Date extended for removing trailers from streets
The Minot Police Department is giving a month extension to remove camping trailers on city streets. Originally, camping trailers were to be removed by Sept. 15 but that has been extended to Oct. 15.
Police said the shortage of housing in the city necessitated the extension.
Residents are reminded utility trailers, boats and all other unattached trailers have to be off city streets by the mid-Ocober deadline or are subject to parking tickets and towing. Anyone with questions on parking issues should contact the shift commander at the Minot Police Department at 852-0111.

According to a press release, police were notified around 11:15 p.m. that an incident had just occurred. U.S. Deputy Marshals were first on scene and witnessed two vehicles leaving the area of 1833-2nd St. SE.
Marshals and police initiated two separate traffic stops, and the occupants of the vehicles were interviewed as well as being identified by witnesses and alleged victims before being arrested.
