Arts in the Parks concerts on deck

Arts in the Parks is the annual summer concert series coordinated by the Minot Area Council of the Arts. The events are free and open to the public. Freewill donations go to support Arts in the Parks programming.

Scandinavian Heritage Park

Arts in the Parks continues today at 7 p.m. in the Scandinavian Heritage Park with a performance by the Dakota Rose Band. Visual artist Tammi Millstead will also be on hand to display her works.

GreenMan

Sunday, 4 and 7 p.m.

Scandinavian Heritage Park

On Sunday, Minot band GreenMan will present their mix of Celtic and Celtic-inspired music at 4 and 7 p.m. in the Scandinavian Heritage Park. Visual artist Gladys Lowell will feature a display of her work as well.

At the Hop

Aug. 4, 7 p.m.

Scandinavian Heritage Park

Finally, the concert series will close out with the annual "At the Hop" event at 7 p.m. Aug. 4 in the Scandinavian Heritage Park. The event features the 1950s and '60s-era close harmony vocal stylings of the Treble Makers, and a display of classic cars by the Dakota Cruisers. Also planned are root beer floats by the Sons of Norway and gyros, baklava and more by St. Peter's Orthodox Church.

In case of inclement weather the concerts will be canceled.
