He was born July 5, 1954, to Anton and Clarice Rekkedal, in Devils Lake. He married Lynn Schwols on Nov. 14, 1972, in Minnewaukan.

Funeral: Saturday, 10:30 a.m., Calvary Lutheran Church, Oberon.
Burial: Hillside Cemetery, Oberon.
Prayer service: Today, 7 p.m., in Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.
Visitation: Today, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., in the funeral home, and Saturday, one hour prior to the service, in the church.
