Rising flood waters along the Souris River and evacuation activities pushed a number of scheduled events down the calendar.
Events known to be postponed include "Melodies and Meals," initially set for today in Granville, featuring an appearance by the Gentle Winds Orchestra of Minot. The rescheduled date and time to be announced.
The Dance Company of Minot initially scheduled a recital, "Dancing Through the Decades," for Saturday. That recital has been postponed, the rescheduled date and time to be announced.
The Taube Museum of Art's "Run for the Arts" 5K/10K race has been postponed, the rescheduled date and time to be announced.
The Minot Area Theatrical Society had planned a benefit to raise funds for an autism support group maps-4-asds Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the Oak Park bandshell. That event has been postponed, the rescheduled dates and times to be announced.
Arts in the Parks events are still set to begin June 12 in Oak Park. Contingency plans do call for non-City Band performances to move to the Maysa Arena as necessary.
