Fill the Dome event set
The Minot High School-Magic City Campus Student Council will host a Fill the Dome-Minot event April 4.
The group's goal is to raise $11,000 and 11 tons of food to go to local food pantries for the summer months. The group is working with local and area schools as well as Marketplace Foods of Minot to make it a success.
The group notes that there is an increased need for food during the summer months for needy families. During the school year, qualifying students can receive free-and-reduced-price breakfast and lunch. During the summer months, parents must provide all three meals as well as pay for child care, which can be a financial burden.
Contact Student Council adviser Brett Mayer at 857-4563 for more information about the event.
