REVIVAL SERVICES TO BE HELD IN MINOT CHURCH Kody Alvarez, a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, will conduct revival services March 13-16 in North Hill Baptist Church, 524-21st Ave. NW, Minot. The services will be at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on March 13 and at 7 p.m. March 14-16.

Alvarez is coming to Minot as a part of the school's "spring practicum."

The Rev. Todd Fuehrer, pastor of Riverwood Baptist Church in Bismarck, will lead the worship during the revival meetings.

FAT TUESDAY/MARDI GRAS DESSERT NIGHT SCHEDULED Lutheran Campus Ministry of Minot will host a Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras dessert night Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the parish hall of First Lutheran Church, 120-5th Ave. NW.

The True Soul Brothaz, a group of students from Minot State University, and the MSU Singers will provide entertainment.

MSU students will be admitted free; a freewill offering will be received.

FILM TO BE SHOWN IN MINOT CHURCH ?"Faith Like Potatoes," the true story of a rugged South African farmer, Angus Buchan, will be shown Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Spiritual Life Christian Fellowship church, 400 N. Main St.

The documentary is about how Buchan's manic quest for material success is slowly transformed into a love for God and people, as he wrestles with faith, hope, natural disasters and tragic personal loss.

Pop and candy will be available for a nominal free. Popcorn and drinks will be free.

CONCERTS SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 12, 13 Dave Anderson and Kelly Patten, of Arizona, formerly of Stanley and Velva, will present concerts in three Lutheran churches in Minot the weekend of March 12-13.

They will lead the 5 p.m. worship service March 12 in Zion Lutheran Church, 1800 Hiawatha St., with a concert to follow. March 13 they will be a part of the 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. worship services in First Lutheran Church, 120-5th Ave. NW, and later in the day they will present a concert at 7 p.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church, 215-3rd Ave. SE.

Their concerts include lots of gospel music, old-time Sunday school songs, some sing-alongs, some contemporary Christian music and stories of God's grace and mercy including "The Rescue Story" which has been heard by millions of people around the world.

A freewill offering will be received at each concert to benefit the Shepherd's Canyon Retreat Ministry, a ministry that benefits pastors in need of renewal.

BURLINGTON COMMUNITY CHOIR TO PRESENT EASTER MUSICAL IN AREA CHURCHES Burlington Community Choir will present "One Holy Celebration," an Easter musical, in area churches starting March 13.

This schedule follows: March 13, 10:45 a.m., St. Mary's Catholic Church, Foxholm; March 16, 7 p.m., Bread of Life Lutheran Church, 1415-17th Ave. SW, Minot; March 20, 11 a.m., Vincent United Methodist Church, 1024-2nd St. SE, Minot; March 23, 7 p.m., Glenburn Baptist Church; March 27, 10:30 a.m., American Lutheran Church in Stanley; March 30, 7 p.m., Zion Lutheran Church in Berthold; April 3, 8:30 a.m., Saron Lutheran Church, rural Minot, and 10:30 a.m., Peace Lutheran Church in Burlington; April 6, 6:30 p.m., First Lutheran Church in Granville; April 10, 9 a.m., Des Lacs Methodist Church and at 10:45 a.m., First Church of the Nazarene, 2500 W. Central Ave., Minot; and April 13, 7 p.m., Christ Lutheran Church, 502-17th St. NW, Minot.

TALENT NIGHT PLANNED SUNDAY A "not so fine arts talent night" will be held Sunday in North Hill Baptist Church, 524-21st Ave. NW. The evening will include singing, poetry, dramatic readings, maybe this and a little of that. The criteria is that whatever it is, it be biblical in nature.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m., with the talent portion of the evening beginning at 6.

ROAST BEEF DINNER TO BE HELD IN GRANVILLE ?A roast beef dinner will be served Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in First Lutheran Church, Granville.

The cost will be $7.50 for adults; $5 for youth ages 6-12; and $3 for children ages 5 and under.

CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S CLUB TO MEET TUESDAY ?Minot Christian Women's Club will meet Tuesday from 12:15 to 2 p.m. in the Grand International Inn, Minot. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. The theme for the meeting is "Patchwork Friends."

Molly Hendrickson, of Minot, will sing and Sue Hamilton, also of Minot, will speak on "Quilting the Pieces of Our Lives."

The cost is $10. For reservations, call Cheryl Jones at 833-7895.

BENEFIT BREAKFAST SET FOR MARCH 13 A benefit breakfast will be held March 13 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Center of First Lutheran Church, 120-5th Ave. NW, for Casey Pollmeier, granddaughter of Richard and Bernice Larsen, of Minot. Quiche, muffins, juice and coffee will be served.

Pollmeier lives in Iowa.

Proceeds of the freewill offering will help defray expenses of Pollmeier's surgery for thyroid cancer and extensive treatments which follow. Checks may be made out to "Thrivent Ward Co. Chapter" with reference to Casey Pollmeier in the memo portion.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will supplement any funds received.

GARRISON CHURCH SETS DATE FOR SPRING DINNER St. Paul Lutheran church of Garrison will hold its annual spring dinner Sunday with serving from 4 to 7 p.m. Roast turkey and roast pork will be served. Take out meals will be available. Meal delivery in the city of Garrison will be available.

The cost will be $12 for adults, $5 for youth ages 6-12 and free for children ages 5 and under.

A raffle will be held in conjunction with the dinner.

KC COUNCIL 4894 TO SERVE BREAKFAST SUNDAY Our Lady of Grace Knights of Columbus Council 4894 will serve a sausage, scrambled eggs, French toast and pancake breakfast Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the church dining room, 707-16th St. SW.

Proceeds of the freewill offering will benefit seminarian Corey Nelson.
