KC COUNCIL 4894, PARISH YOUTH TO SERVE ROAST BEEF DINNER Our Lady of Grace Knights of Columbus Council 4894, assisted by parish youth, will serve their annual roast beef dinner Feb. 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lower level of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 707-16th St. SW. The dinner will include all the trimmings, plus ice cream.
The cost will be $8 for adults, $4 for youth ages 4-12 and free for children age 3 and under.
Proceeds of the event will benefit Minot Catholic Schools.
WND GIFTS EVENT SCHEDULED FEB. 12 IN BISMARCK The Western North Dakota Synod Growing in Faith to Serve of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's next event will be Feb. 12 in Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Bismarck. The event begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude by 3:30 p.m. All members of ELCA churches may attend.
Presiding ELCA Bishop Mark Hanson will be the presenter on "A Church Engaging God's Mission." Topics will include "Catalysts for Conversation: Explore the metaphors we use in our life together," "Preaching and Mission," and "Re-structured for Mission."
Hanson was elected presiding bishop of the ELCA church in August 2001. Before being elected presiding bishop, he served as bishop of the Saint Paul Area Synod.
